Academic Accommodations
How to Register
To determine eligibility for academic accommodations, students should complete a single application following the process detailed below.
-
Fill Out an Application
SAS has different applications based on the needs of the student requesting accommodations. For Academic Accommodations, students should fill out the application for their appropriate campus and upload required documentation. These applications include:
SAS can accept a dated letter from a qualified professional, a copy of an evaluation, or a copy of the 504/IEP (if applicable) that clearly states the student’s diagnosis and functional limitations.
For more information on qualifying documentation, read our Documentation Guidelines (PDF).
-
Complete an Intake Appointment
Discuss Appropriate Accommodations
The student will request an appointment with an intake specialist. Since every student's diagnosis will affect them differently, this appointment allows time to ensure accommodations are tailored to address the institutional barriers that a student with a disability may experience while attending OSU.
Discuss Student Responsibilities
Students will also be informed of their responsibilities when requesting and receiving accommodations at OSU-Stillwater and NOC-Stillwater.

Receive Accommodations in the Classroom
To receive accommodations, students must request their Accommodation Letters every semester through the AIM Portal.
For more detailed instructions, see our “How to Request your Accommodation Letter” instructions.
Students must have a conversation with each of their professors about the implementation of accommodations in their courses.
- If the student decides to have this conversation through email, they may utilize SAS's Academic Accommodation Email Template (Word).
