Request Dining Accommodations

Students who believe they cannot participate in the required campus meal plan due to disability-related dietary needs may request an exception to the required meal plan level. To be considered, students must complete the steps below.

  1. Submit a Meal Plan Exception Request Form

Obtain and complete the appropriate form through the Meal Plan Office in 301 Student Union. To request the release forms, contact the Meal Plan Office at dining@okstate.edu or 405-744-4920.

      • Fill Out an Application

SAS has different applications based on the needs of a student requesting accommodations. To request dining accommodations, the student will fill out the Dining Application through the AIM Portal and submit qualifying documentation.

For more information, read our Documentation Guidelines (PDF).

After your application and documentation have been reviewed and verified by a SAS staff member, SAS will submit a Letter of Verification supporting your request. This letter does not include any information about the student’s disability.

      • Meet with OSU's Campus Dietitian

The final step in the process is to schedule a meeting with the campus dietitian, Patty Anson, to discuss your dietary needs and available dining options.

Meetings can be held in person, by phone, or via Zoom. Students should contact Patty Anson at panson@okstate.edu or (405) 744-3345.

      • Decision or Request for Release

Once all three steps are completed, your request will be reviewed by Dining Services.

Decisions are typically made within 2–4 weeks after all materials are submitted. The review team meets once per week, but timelines may vary depending on the time of year and scheduling availability.
